We have three full time staff members who ensure the smooth running of the company to bring you the best bouncy castle hire around, and multiple seasonal staff employed during peak season and summer months (we are recruiting: click here).
A bit about the company...
JV Hire Services Ltd began life in 2006 as a small family run business. Started by 15 year old John Randall as a weekend project, it slowly grew into one of Hampshire’s foremost suppliers of inflatable hire equipment, inflatable marquees, activity and play equipment and photo booths.
Now the business is the proud recipient of the 2009 Home Business Award and the 2015 Small Business of the Year Inspire Award. With a number of other nominations under its belt and the completion of projects for corporate and charity customers, it is clear to see that the business is really going places.
JV prides itself on exceptional customer service and an attention to detail that sets it apart from its competitors. The business is customer-led and is very focused on making the process of hire simple and effective.
The JV team is a special one. With three main people as its core, it also consists of a number of drivers and hire professionals who can help you with your event organisation and on the day of hire too. Nathan Purver (Senior Logistics & Customer Service Legend)
Nathan started with JV Hire Services when he was just a young man of 15 and who would have thought that a weekend job could lead to the thriving career that he now enjoys.
Nathan is responsible for ensuring that the bouncy castles and other hire equipment are fit for purpose - clean and ready to go. He knows our stock inside out and he takes pride in the fact that our bouncy castles are always perfect for our customers.
Nathan also turns his hand to training our new recruits. That is probably because he is just a nice bloke who gets on so well with everyone and there is nothing about our business that he doesn’t know. If you hire a castle from us on the weekends, Nathan may be the person you will meet. He will make sure your castle arrives on time and is raring to go.
Nathan spends his spare time climbing big rocks, listening to rock music and rocking it out with his friends...he’s one of these adventurous types!
Kevin Purver (Co-Owner & Technical Guru)
Kevin is yet another JV Hire Services employee who stuck around once he arrived. He started as a van driver around 5 years ago and now is a co-investor with a real part in driving the company forward. Kevin has worked as a partner since 2014.
Working closely with John, Kevin is focused on building the company and expanding the bouncy castle range to include other hire equipment and the new photo booth business. As a key driver behind the website and the customer service approach, Kevin thrives on achieving a look and feel for the company that brings in new business and maintains current customer relationships.
Kevin is a single Dad to two young boys and used to work as a highly regarded chef. His catering qualifications also offer the business the opportunity to diversify into catering where required and has helped in the offering of hired catering equipment.
When Kevin isn‘t charming our customers, he loves to hang out with his kids and try out new recipes. His cooking skills are a hit with the rest of the JV team as you might expect!
John Randall (Founder & Owner)
At the tender age of 15, John decided to start a little business in the hope of funding himself through university. JV Hire Services Ltd was born and before he knew it, that little business had become a thriving part of the community and was keeping this young man very busy on weekends. That was back in 2006.
Now, John has his degree in Business Innovation and Enterprise from Oxford Brookes University and a thriving business that is very quickly becoming one of Hampshire's best suppliers of activity inflatables and now, photo booths.
As you can see, John certainly has a head for business, in fact he would probably say that entrepreneurship is one of his passions. Over the last few years he has honed his skills by working for PayPal on their business strategy and spent three years with Amazon working as a Product Manager. He also worked as a volunteer in Moldova where he decorated a school building for local children.
This high achiever is now doing great things with his own business, along with his business partner Kevin. JV Hire Services is moving forward in leaps and bounds and John is incredibly proud that the business has won innovation awards and that he himself has been nominated as a “Young Business Owner of the Year” and “Entrepreneur of the Year”.
John is a bit of an “overseer” when it comes to the business. His role is to ensure people know what they are doing and he is a bit of a troubleshooter. He works closely with Kevin in ensuring top level customer service and is very focussed on ensuring the business is heading in the right direction.
Besides work, John is more of the outdoorsy type and loves a bit of skiing and various water sports. That’s when he has time...
